About
Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia I gathered an appreciation for architecture and urbanism at an early age. Studying architecture as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech, my understanding of the greater build environment was considerably expanded upon both at the university and abroad. Studios that focused on community oriented design in the rural and urban settings gave me an admiration for buildings that function within the context they inhabit.
These courses ultimately led to an interest in historic preservation. Pursuing these ideas through graduate studies at Tulane I have attempted to investigate how utilizing existing buildings can create a higher standard of life within the larger neighborhood, and city scale.
